¿Sabéis que mi hermana es 364 días más joven que yo? Aparte del hecho de que nació un día antes de mi primer cumpleaños, que ya es curioso, ella parece mucho más pequeña que yo. Los genes de la juventud se los ha quedado Raquel...

Esta foto es de una celebración familiar que tuvimos el sábado. Ya veis lo que me dura a mí un collar sin estrenar... La verdad es que íbamos bien monas, ¿eh?

We took this photo on saturday, we had a family celebration. As you can see, it didn't take me more than 48 hours to wear my necklace... Actually we looked really cute, won't be the last time I wear this outfit.

New necklace

Ayer, en la media hora que me queda libre antes de que todo cierre, estuve dando una vuelta rápida por las tiendas, más concentrada en ir rápido que en ver algo que me gustase. Pero de pronto vi este collar y empecé a girar el cuello peligrosamente al ritmo del fulgor de sus cristales (qué bonito, ¿¿¿eh???). Vi el precio y dejé de girar el cuello, y pensé: "Antes que un collar, cómprate algo que te evite un resfriado".

Obviamente no estaríamos ahora hablando de esto si no me lo hubiese terminado comprando. La verdad es que me lo ha regalado mi novio: vino a recogerme cuando yo estaba en órbita alrededor del collar y decidió la cuestión rápidamente. 

Mil gracias, así puedo gastarme mi presupuesto en jerseys. 

PD: Me voy a Madrid en un par de horas.

English version: Yesterday, half an hour before every store closed, I went out to do some quick shopping, actually more focused on being fast than on finding something nice. But suddenly I spotted this necklace and started to turn my head, following the rhythm of the brightness of its crystals (very nice, uh?). I saw the price and stopped wringing my neck, and I said to myself: "You should get something that prevents a cold, not a necklace".

Obviously, we wouldn't be here, talking about the necklace, if I hadn't purchased it. Actually my boyfriend bought it for me: he came to Mango to pick me up when I was into orbit and made a decision.

Thank you so much, now I have more budget to spend on sweaters.

PD: Off to Madrid in a couple hours.

Things today

Aunque penséis que me he pasado esta semana en estado catatónico por lo de Zara, y de ahí la falta de actividad en el blog, nada más lejos de la realidad. He estado estudiando como una loca.

Pensaba hoy que un post muy recurrente en blogs de moda y estilo de vida es el bolso, en sus múltiples modalidades: mi nuevo bolso, qué hay en mi bolso, bolsos grandes versus bolsos pequeños, la historia del bolso,... Yo misma he explotado la cuestión alguna vez. Y lo vuelvo a hacer, con un pequeño mix, para enseñaros mi mochila de biblioteca, con sus veinte bolígrafos (no tantos en realidad), cronómetro, folios, carpetas y moleskine.

Esta semana me toca estar en Madrid, así que me voy mañana y me quedaré hasta el próximo jueves. Prometo moda, fotografía, comida rica, arte y muchas otras cosas bellas.

I was thinking today that "the bag issue" is a very recurrent topic on fashion and lifestyle blogs, in its several disciplines: my new bag, what's in my bag, big bags versus small bags, history of bags,... Even I have exploited this topic once or twice. And now I do it again, with a small mix of potos, in order to show you my "library bag", in which I always carry 20 pens (not so many, actually), chronometer, papers and papers, folders and moleskine.

This week is Madrid time, and I'll be there until next thursday. I promise fashion, photography, food porn, art and many other beautiful things at my arrival.

La Azotea

Pues aquí están las fotos que os prometí: el domingo por la noche estuvimos en la fiesta de apertura del nuevo restaurante y bar de La Azotea. Como siempre Jeanine y Juan han hecho un trabajo estupendo, el local les ha quedado precioso (el techo parece un cielo estrellado) y todos estamos convencidos de que será otro éxito.

Hoy al mediodía abre al público el nuevo restaurante de La Azotea en calle Zaragoza. Teniendo en cuenta que su primer restaurante está lleno a todas horas y todos los días, os podéis imaginar lo bien que se comerá también en el segundo.

English version: So here are the photos I promised: the opening of the new restaurant and tapas bar of La Azotea, on sunday evening. Jeanine and Juan have made a great job, as always, the decoration is wonderful (the ceiling imitates the starry sky) and we are all sure it's going to be a huge success.

La Azotea opens today at 13.30, Zaragoza street (with Reyes Católicos). Considering their first restaurant is always full, everyday, you can imagine how good the food will be in the new one.

Feliz lunes a todos. Aquí hoy se ha puesto a llover a cántaros y empiezo la semana dentro de un pijama gigante, con una tableta de chocolate junto a mis montones de libros, apuntes y textos legales, pero con buen sabor de boca.

Ayer estuvimos en la inauguración del nuevo restaurante de La Azotea, tengo millones de fotos para enseñaros, pero aún tengo que seleccionar, así que mañana habrá buena comida en el blog. De vuelta a casa (la nula calidad de las fotos se debe a la luz nocturna) me quedé un rato viendo el escaparate de Butlers, que ya está en plena campaña navideña. Tiene gracia, porque cinco minutos antes me había comprado una super tarrina de mi helado favorito y mi pinta era de lo menos invernal. La verdad es que estaba bastante más concentrada en el helado que en las bolas de colores.

¡Ah! Mi amiga Dena ha hecho un cambio radical en su blog y le ha quedado increíblemente bonito, ¡pinchad aquí y disfrutadlo!

English version: Happy monday everybody. Here it's raining cats and dogs and I start my week inside a huge pyjamas, a bar chocolate right next to my pile of books, laws and notes, but I have a good feeling.

Yesterday we spent the night at the opening of the new restaurant of La Azotea, I have tons of photos to show you, but I still have to select them, so tomorrow we'll have a very tasty menu on this blog. On our way back home (the nonexistent quality of these pictures is due to the night light) I stopped two minutes to see the shop window of Butlers, which is all into Christmas time already. Bit funny, given that five minutes before I had bought an ice-cream and my look was everything but wintery. Actually I was much more focused on my ice-cream than on Christmas decoration.

Poco otoño por ahora

Cuántos 'unos' en la fecha de hoy... ¡Ey!, ¡hoy es viernes (y el sorteo de la ONCE)! Tenemos un sol fantástico, hace un poco de calorcito y la verdad es que miro con cierta añoranza los abrigos de los escaparates; me pregunto si llegará este año el momento en que necesite uno... 

He pospuesto las compras que tenía que hacer esta semana a falta de tiempo, y espero escaparme esta tarde para poder hacerlas. La verdad es que detesto salir de compras un viernes por la tarde porque hay que pelearse para probarse cualquier cosa, pero necesito unos vaqueros urgentemente y, conociéndome, si no me obligo lo iré dejando hasta el año que viene.

English version: So many 'ones' in today's date... It's friday! We have a wonderful sunny day, bit warm, and, actually, I'm yearning for coats when I look at the shop windows; I wonder if I will really have the chance to wear coats this year...

I have put off my shopping until who knows when, I want to go out this evening and finally get some items I need. The truth is that I hate shopping on friday, it's a constant fight for anything, but I desperately need a pair of jeans and, knowing me, if I don't force myself to go I will let it be for months.

Buenos días a todos. Esto es solo una entradita rápida para enseñaros unas cuantas fotos de inspiración para murales, los famosos moodboards o inspiration boards. Estoy intentando hacer mi rincón de estudio lo más agradable posible y por eso llevo unos días recopilando ideas y pensando qué voy a hacer con el mío. Os lo enseñaré cuando lo tenga listo, mientras tanto disfrutad de estos.

Qué cambio de Madrid a Sevilla: de cielos grises, granizo y lluvia pasamos a un sol radiante del que hace que te pique la piel. Llegué ayer por la noche y fuimos a cenar a Az-zait, ¡delicioso! Las fotos son de hace un par de horas, ¿habéis visto qué cielo?

Sé que uso la misma ropa una y otra vez, con un presupuesto limitado, poco tiempo y necesidades sencillas, suelo comprar cosas versátiles que no me limiten mucho y luego combino intentando conseguir que sean un poco diferentes. De todas formas esta semana tengo que hacer algunas compras, ¡ya os contaré!

Mi idea era hacer las fotos con la ropa puesta, pero siempre he pensado que este no es un mal recurso en caso de que llueva, no tenga tiempo,... 

¿Veis ese clutch negro? Es en realidad un estuche de gafas de sol con un pomo que compré en Anthroplogie (me encanta esa tienda), en Nueva York. La idea la saqué de Honestly... WTF, me da mil ideas para llenar los ratos muertos.

Mañana me voy a Madrid y paso allí el resto de la semana. Me encantaría poder decir que tengo un millón de planes interesantísimos, pero más bien no. Aunque los tuviera, parece que la lluvia no va a dar tregua.

See that black clutch? Actually it's a sunglasses case with a knob from Anthropologie (I love that store), in New York. I took the idea from Honestly... WTF, they fill my spare time with thousand of projects.

Tomorrow, I'm taking the AVE to Madrid and I will spend the rest of the week there. I would love to say I have exciting plans, but nop. Even if I had them, it looks like rain won't let up for a moment.
