Unos 10 días sin actualizar... Perdón por esta ausencia: tras la vuelta del viaje he estado muy muy ocupada estudiando y organizándome este curso (aún lo estoy), pasé unos días enferma en casa y, bueno, no tenía ganas ni tiempo para blogs. 

Esta semana intentaré retomar el ritmo de antes, actualizar más a menudo y responder vuestros comentarios. Mientras os dejo con el outfit de ayer, puro otoño...

English version: No updates for about 10 days... Sorry for the absence: after our trip I've been really busy with my studies and also organizing this year (I'm still on it), spent almost a whole week sick at home and, well, I wasn't in the mood for blogs.

I will try to catch up with my blog this week, more updates, answer comments,... In the meanwhile, here's what I wore yesterday, pure autumn...

New York (III)

Pues esta es la última tanda de fotos del monotemático de Nueva York. ¿Habéis notado que en todas las fotos hay luz de día soleado? No sabéis el calor que pasamos cruzando el puente de Brooklyn...

De todo lo que vimos en los últimos días, para mí lo mejor, creo que con diferencia, fue el MoMA: muy accesible y muy bien estructurado, y con una cantidad ingente de cosas de las que te dejan con la boca abierta, desde Picasso hasta Giacometti (pasando por las obras de los niños de la escuela de arte del MoMA). 

En cuanto a la comida, creo que se nos ha dado bastante bien. Llevábamos recomendaciones de amigos, y de otros blogs, en especial yo recomiendo a todo el que esté interesado en gastronomía el blog de Gennie, Maison des Rêveries. Es una pasada.

Tendríais que ver la montaña de libros y apuntes que tengo encima de la mesa... A partir de mañana estaré más relajada, así que prometo ponerme al día con todos vuestros blogs, que ya tengo ganas. 

English version: So here's the last chapter with pictures of my NY series. Have you noticed that it's sunny in every picture? You don't know how much I suffered the heat when crossing the Brooklyn Bridge... 

The best experience, by far, among all the things we did in the last days was visiting the MoMA: well structured and accesible, and a huge collection of masterpieces that leaves you dumbfounded, from Picasso to Giacometti (don't forget to see the works of the children who study in the school of art of MoMA).

And I think we did pretty well with food and restaurants. We had been collecting recommendations and advices from friends and blogs and we used them. If any of you is interested in gastronomy you must visit Gennie's blog, Maison des Rêveries. Awesome.

You should see the mountain of books and notes upon my table... I will be more relaxed tomorrow, so I promise I'll get up to date with your blogs, I'm looking forward to it.

New York (II)

¡Ay! Acabo de llegar a Sevilla después de unos días de "negocios" en Madrid. ¿Este calor es real? En Nueva York nos hizo un tiempo estupendo (manga corta volviendo de cenar), pero esto desafía la rotación del planeta...

Sea como sea, aquí tenéis la segunda parte de las fotos. Algunas de ellas las hice en el Metropolitan, que me pareció increíble (porque lo es) pero también inabarcable. Sabíamos que íbamos a hacer una visita superficial y que sólo nos daría tiempo a ver lo más marcado, pero es tan grande y tiene una colección tan ingente que un resumen se hace casi imposible. 

Las últimas fotos son de nuestro descubrimiento gastronómico: Penélope (click aquí). La segunda mañana entramos buscando un sitio para desayunar o hacer el brunch y volvimos tres días seguidos. A veces teníamos que esperar un rato porque había lista de espera desde las 9 de la mañana, pero merecía la pena. El entorno era acogedor, el personal simpático y eficiente, y lo más importante, la comida, sencillamente deliciosa y muy bien de precio (echo de menos su yogur...).

Sé que en la última entrada no dije mucho, pero quería agradecer a Isabel, del blog La 5th con Bleecker St. por su amabilidad a la hora de contestar todas las chorradas que se me ocurrió preguntarle. Si no lo conocéis, que sepáis que ahí está todo lo que queráis saber de NYC, cosas que difícilmente encontraríais en otro sitio. Además de que ella es un encanto y su blog es es un vicio...

English version: Hey! Back in Seville after some 'business' days in Madrid. Is this hot real?? We enjoyed nice temperatures in NYC (short sleeves at 11pm), but, believe me, this challenges the Earth's rotation...

However, here's the second part of my trip. Some of these pictures were taken at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is absolutely amazing but also endless. We knew we only had time for a very superficial visit, but the museum is so big and the collections are so massive that a summary becomes almost impossible.

The last photos are of our gastronomic discovery: Penelope (click here). We found this place our second day, when we were looking for a place for breakfast or brunch, and we liked it so much that we repeated the experience (three times). There were times when we had to wait to be seated (huge waiting list) but it was worth it. The atmosphere was charming, friendly staff and food was simply delicious and at good price (I miss the yogurt...).

I didn't say too much in the last post, but I really want to thank Isabel, from the blog La 5th con Bleecker St. for being so nice and helpful, she answered every question I asked her and she gave me plenty of details and info. For those who don't know her blog, you should bear in mind that it's a great NYC guide, with loads of info and things you would hardly find by yourselves. Appart from the fact that she's lovely and her blog can be a real addiction...

New York (I)

¡Ya estoy aquí! ¡Os echaba de menos! LLegué anteayer por la tarde y aún estoy cansada y medio dormida, pero contenta. Os dejo la primera ristra de fotos, de los dos primeros días, disfrutadlas.
